I just bought a house that does not have a garage. Building a detached garage isn't an option. Back yard is stupid steep. I want to build an attached garage out of brick but the price is high. What other options will look good. Ill post a picture later. Post a picture of your attached addon garage please

When I was a kid, I"d have plastic up all around the patio, lights hung up, some sort of a heater going and tunes in the background.

That would be my shop for whatever car I would be working on. Long, Long time ago!

If you want to add on, better get somebody out there who can draw up some plans.

You could go looking for some kind of brick veneer that matches the rest of the house -- or sheath it in that siding material that's on the face of the house by the two right windows.

Looks buildable to me. I'd make a breezeway between house and garage big enough for some pantry type storage. The last few feet out over the yard could contain some storage below. Kind of a basement. Or just put in the footings and backfill for your slab.

I think you only need brick on the front of the garage, and that isn't a lot of brick, since most of the garage front is door. Siding will be fine for the side and rear of the garage.
