Yea I don't know if this was just a way of getting the info out there for free without raising too many eyebrows (mainly based on this being your first post) but I haven't seen this line from NewAge before so they have to be BRAND new.

They do look pretty slick, albeit New Age is pretty proud of their cabinets and charge a pretty penny for them. I've found their wall mounted top cabinets (Pro) to be very strong and much better than any Gladiator cabinet at about the same price point. Their tall cabinets though I couldn't justify paying 2.5x as much for the same amount of storage space as Gladiator offered, but after having to make 3 return trips with busted up Gladiator cabinets, I might have ponied up the dough. Live and Learn.

No. Not a distributor.

I reached out to John from Shop Storage Cabinets to get more info on the product.

I've been looking at the Saber cabinets when I stumbled across this line.

Marty

Anyone know the gauge of these? I could not find it in the link, perhaps I missed it. Wish it came in more colors.

Hi guys.
While I just joined the board this week, I don't have any affiliation to newAge.
I ordered a set of these earlier this week.
No firm delivery date but I will post pics once they show up.

Well then, I'm sure you non-distributor types wouldn't mind us posting up all the positive experiences with non-New-Age cabinetry.

That Speed Triple looks great in that marketing material BTW.

In all honesty, they look pretty nice. How expensive are they though?

Well after a week of the vendor only telling me that I have a two week delivery window, I cancelled my order.
Time to go another route.

John - I sent you a PM

The doors are steel, but no mention of the cabinet carcass is mentioned. Are they steel as well or are they a wood filler product with a laminate surface?

I'd also like to see a picture with the cabinet doors open.

Guys,

Here are some pics. The all blue cabinet is from Saber.

Performance Plus in blue
Performance in black.

Paint finish on the Plus is pretty nice. The Performance line is definitely a flat finish.

The hinge/piston on the upper is pretty good quality. Although, it is not soft close.

The cabinet is big. Lots of space, they do have soft close hinges.

Big difference between the two versions as far as thickness, weight and potential durability.

I have ordered an 11 piece Performance Plus set from one of NewAge's online re-sellers.

Happy to answer any additional questions if I can.

Marty

I have a Pro series set. So far I really like them, although I haven't gotten much use yet. I also looked at Saber and opted for the NewAge products. I'll try to update my build thread with some pictures.

looking at getting a cabinet set from new age. I will store lots of automotive tools and parts. Do you guys suppose the gauge of the performance plus line will be enough for me or should I go a size up to the pro series? I do want my investment to last me the next 50 years let me know what you think :D

Just dropped the dime on the Pro series. I could have gotten Performance or Bold for half the cost, but 24ga was scaring me. Plus the width of the workbench would go from 24" to 18". Hope its worth it...

NewAge told me last week they were going to open the Performance line to the rest of the distributors. I'll have them by the end of the month. Most of the big guys sell sets only and get better pricing than I do. If you want an additional cabinet or two they won't have them.

If you're looking to buy cabinets that fits your space I'm giving the same deal that NewAge gives me on pricing. 15% off individual cabinet orders over 1000 bucks and 20% off orders over 3000 bucks.
