New and looking for help

Hello all, my name is Chris Warren. I’m grateful to see a group like this. I need the communities help. I have a 1967 Craftsman top chest and bottom box that my Dad bought new in 67. I am looking for a drawer slide spring clip for the top chest. I saw on this group to contact waterloo and so I did. Sent them photos and what they sent me looks nothing like what I need. Please take a look at these photos and let me know if yall can help. Thought about just making my own but may not be quality I need.

Sears used to sell them, IIRC 4 in a blister pack, but I haven't seen them for years. I had a pack of spares but used them up, and started looking around yard sales for donor boxes (our dying Sears Failure of an outlet gives me the "lost in the weeds stare" when I ask them)...

They're hot formed spring steel, heat treated to bring the springiness back. Even tho they're small, they wouldn't be hard to fab up... IF you can find the right steel.

One thing to watch out for is rust forming on the inside lower bracing rails... I pulled mine apart (after 40+ years of service) and found rust down there... had them blasted, hit them with phosphate and reshot the inside. Also I finally replaced the casters with a new set (from Ace Hardware of all places) that was heavier duty and hard rubber (and not fried or roached out like the originals), the mounting holes matched the originals, so that was cool.

They're not an Epiq (I'm thinking about finally upgrading after all these decades), but by god they seem to keep on working, and I earned a living out of those boxes.

If you just need one or two, just make your own. Cut a strip of galv and bend it in the shape of the existing clips- it will work fine, even though it is not a "spring'" It will keep the drawer from pulling out. I have done it this way several times.
