I've known about this site for a long time but finally decided to join. I just bought a house with a 3-car garage that I plan to stay in for a long time, so I will finally set out to build a nicer garage. I started by demo'ing the terrible built-ins' (via 2x4's) and giving the walls and ceiling a fresh coat of white. The paint must have been original (25 years) and looked yellow - gross. We are moving in next week so it's currently a storage depot, but once we get settled, I'll be looking to make it nice, so joined the forum for ideas and inspiration.
