Been wanting to share a couple photos of some vintage tools that I have inherited. The 1st is this Wilton bullet Vise and note the work table it's mounted on. The vise says "pat pend" #6 and the jaws are 6". The table is 3 by 5 ft 1 inch plate steel built on 5 inch steel pipe with a lower shelf and rolling on 4 castors that came from scaffolding used to work on aircraft. Some day soon I want to sell it because I will never use it. But for now I just want to share some photos.

Just click on the box with the paper clip icon marked “attach files”.
Then choose from the pics stored on your device.

If you’d rather have a couple of smaller vises that are easier to move around and you’d actually use, or a wad of cash, post that big Wilton up on the classified section of GJ.

I'm in between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe where the Caldor Fire burnt through last year. We got lucky. It missed us by 3/4 of a mile.
Yes I'll be posting the vise later for sale. Just overwhelmed with all the stuff. Got ten acres full of stuff my step father collected for 40 years. I'm not out to get rich. I just want to sell or give it to people that appreciate good stuff. Plus I'm learning from you guys. I've looked at a couple hundred threads in the past week or so. Everyone in our area has come here looking for odd stuff and step dad had always said "if we don't have it. We can make it". I'll take more photos soon and show ya some of it.

Sounds like the beginning of another episode of American Pickers.

I’ll check back in later for the pics. Any other vises that an old guy like me might be able to lift?

I'll look around. The only one I can think of right now is a pretty old post vice. I'm sure there are some great ones here somewhere and clamps for everything.
No American pickers lol. they would be overwhelmed too. Could probably do a whole season not Just an episode.

That is a very early Wilton vise. If you pull the dynamic jaw all the way out, a date code will be stamped on the bottom of the slide.

i pulled the dynamic jaw all the way off today. Did not find a date code on the bottom or anywhere. I don't think it would have warn off? I don't know a lot about it just what I'm learning here.
Not all of those were marked. If they are marked it's on the bottom of the key. Did you get my message (conversation)?
