I didn't buy the dish.. er, parts washer, but in hindsight I should have. It was only $50 also and nobody bid on it.

Wow. You get a "You Stupid!" award for not buying that! :)

Nice sink. Is that a 2 way valve with a spray wand I see? Friggin expensive to buy...

Yep, sure is. I know the auctioneer though and he knows the owner of the building so the washer is still available. You know, I'm at the auction, standing in a kitchen surrounded by stoves, freezers, walk-in refridgerators and restaurant type people and not really thinking "parts washer." :headscrat

Nice Score, I sell restaurant equipment. That table setup w/sprayer probably sold new for around $1000. Go back and get the dishwasher if you can. A similiar hobart model sells for around $4500. Jackson is a quality name. For us used dishwashers are sometimes nightmares. But since your only going to use it as a parts washer it should be okay. Be careful and check that the motor is single phase and not three phase. You may not have power for it. Even at $50. if it doesn't suit your purposes you could probably sell it to a restaurant supply house for that. Keep us informed.

Some of the stuff went incredibly cheap. Check out this freezer. It was at least 8 feet long and clean as a whistle. Went for $25.00. :shocking:

When an auction goes south, deals can be sweet, but its hard on the old owner.

With big stuff sometimes it just doesn't ship well, so if restaurants are declining in your area, nobody is buying. SoCal the market seems tighter, so used stuff still fetches a high price.

Ok, can I please have the "You Stupid" award retracted ? I went back today and picked up the dish/parts washer. The data plates says this thing draws 42 amps. :shocking: Now I have to figure how to explain to the building inspector why this 6ga. wire is roughed in 2 feet away from the sink.
