Hi guys,
Well I must confess I've been lurking for a LONG LONG time before signing up. Some forums like.... STAMP on anyone new .....but this place ROCKS ! Great advice, great guys ( please excuse me here : if there are any non-guys that are interested in tools and cars, firstly excuse my lack of manners, secondly then immediately pm me for a marriage proposal LOL )
Who am I ? Well I'm over 50 (just, still coping with that piece of achievement
) , have had a lifelong interest in anything to do with working with my hands- electronics- from alarm systems to computers & IT, mechanics- as long as it has an engine I am interested, If it doesn't then what the heck I kinda still am if it has at least one bolt in it 
. I like tools 'cos without them life is tougher when you try and fix stuff- a leatherman will do in an emergency but ... well ... you know... I don't abuse my tools as these are useful things, if you want to take your own tools to the grinder to mod them well and good but don't even think about doing that to mine ! I once saw this old guy in Singapore ,where I grew up, carving the most beautiful detailed bald eagle out of a block of wood with just a sharp butter knife- ever since then , my belief is that I should modify myself before modifying the tool ..... 
As I get older I find I am liking more and more the stuff I didn't think twice about when growing up - have been picking up vices on ebay that are as old as me lately , same as I used in Woodwork & Metalwork classes in high school... there is talk about Global Warming everywhere , what about Tooling Cooling- no quality tools made anywhere given 10 years time .. but I digress...
Well us old guys tend to rant a lot, if you have read this far, I think I owe you a beer !
