All,
The amazing Ballistix sealer is now available in a single component formulation called Ballistix SC that can be just sprayed on with a good quality garden sprayer (contact us for details on the suggested sprayers since a crappy sprayer will give poor results). A non skid additive can be mixed in and sprayed with the product if desired, so ideal for making slippery surfaces less slippery.

Microfiber mopping is not necessary, and normal installion is just spray and go, or spray and a quick sweep with a 'Water Wizz' foam pad which we carry.

Same resistance and characteristics as the traditional Ballistix, except that the SC version is UV impervious vs the traditional version that gets mixed which is UV impenetrable. (What this means is that the SC won't be affected by UV but could allow UV to pass through it so epoxy underneath could possibly discolor or amber just like with all urethanes and polyaspartics, while the traditional version which is UV impervious will protect the epoxy underneath it).

I've been interested in trying a ballistix product for a shop building, either traditional mix together or the single component, although some of the reviews have mixed results with the traditional ballistix in the way it can sometimes bead up or leave "orange peel" finish.
Do you believe the single component has better results in laying down evenly and giving a good coating?
Also, can you use any basic concrete sealer before using the SC Ballistix?

Hi,
In over 1,000 installs now we have only seen some slight orange peeling about 4 times so we think it's something environmental since the product is all the same and well tested. We reformulated the matching sealer and since then zero issues.

We don't recommend using another brand of sealer as we have seen some puddling of the Ballistix over some other company's sealers, so if you go that route there is no warranty, and you could have some significant application and appearance issues.

For individual support, quotes, etc, please contact us directly at [email protected], not PM please. Thanks!

Which application method is preferred - especially if you want a glossy finish? Spray only or spray + sweep?

This product has my attention. If I pressure wash and acid wash my garage floor, I can just spray it on and it makes it not stain, and glossy? Is that correct?
