Nothing fancy here; just a basic, functional vanity. When I was building our house 12 years ago, I was about out of money at the finish line. I had an old piece of furniture, and snagged a free faux marble vanity top off of a curb alert. The concept didn't work very well, and the crappy vanity top was ugly. To replace it, I built two cabinets out of cabinet-grade plywood, banged out some drawers, and made a top out of scrap Advantech and leftover Formica. I reused the old faucet, so only had to buy a sink. I used Kreg pocket screws throughout, and covered all of the plywood edges with iron-on veneer. The inside of the drawers is varnished. I bought some cheap Vevor side-mount soft-close drawer glides, and so far, they are working well. I left the center section open because that's where we keep our dog's water bowl. I'll probably add a bit of a valance to finish it off better. I still have a little paint touch-up to do.
The worst part was the plumbing, as usual. The angle stops hadn't been moved in 12 years, so of course, when I closed them, they started dripping. The seals had dried out. After cycling them on and off a bit, they stopped leaking. The sink drain leaked as well, but I finally manged to goop it up enough to stop the leak. I hate plumbing!
