I just brought my Bendpak XPR-10ACX home and unloaded it off the trailer today.

I was going through the parts and I do not find any anchor bolts.
The instructions indicated Bendpak supplies the proper bolts.
Other than that I am pleased with it so far.
Just want to know if I need call those guys and get them shipped or just go buy some hilti Bolts Monday.

Thanks

They came with mine - call your dealer, BP or just wait for Jeff to notice here. :D

What often doesn't come is all the little fasteners for attaching the air line switch, etc.

I just installed the same lift about 2 months ago. There should be (12) 5" long x 3/4" wedge type anchor bolts. I had hard a find time finding all the small pieces that came with my lift but the anchors should be easy to find.

Word of advice, use a good rotary hammer drill and fresh bit because you do not want any chatter in the anchor holes. Vacuum/blow all the dust out of the holes very well. Most importantly, pound in the wedge anchor as deep as possible into the hole - have just enough thread exposed above the base plate and washer to start the nut.

On the first post, I screwed the nut on until the top of the nut was flush with the top of the anchor bolt and then pounded them in. My anchors took what seemed like forever to "set" in the concrete and torque to the 90 ft lb requirement. Now I have the bare minimum embedment of the wedge anchor below the concrete. On the second post, I pounded the anchor in with nut just barely catching one thread and things worked out much better and I have at least 1/2" more embedment on all of the second post anchors. All of the above is especially true if you have to shim your columns up because the baseplate (and therefore top of the wedge anchor) will be further away from the slab and limit the amount of embedment that is possible.

Thanks Jeff !!
The comments concerning customer support from you and Bendpak were a big consideration on my purchase.
I was wondering where can I get some touch up paint ( blue ) I have a little shipping rash in areas mainly on the base plate Id like to touch up.
I've not looked the arms much yet, but I think they are ok.

I did some lay out measuring this afternoon and got the columns free of the shipping frames. looking at about 16 feet in from the door to give plenty of room to shut the shop door on my Yukon XL. Does that sound about right ?

I am not sure on the cylinders how they mount they seem to be just free floating in the columns.... I expected them to be bolting in.

Thanks again everyone.

Thanks for the help on the Anchor bolts.

BP lifts usually come with a can of touch-up paint. It's starting to sound like you've misplaced a whole box of parts...

Gee I hope not...
Everything was packaged well and wrapped in plastic so I think all the parts boxes were here that were originally packaged...
Shop is a bit cluttered but I was pretty careful as I unpacked things...
There were several boxes with small parts... upper switch and wire + cover...
bigger heavy box with arm pins, c-clips, bag of shims for the base bolts... 3 hyd hoses, a bag of hyd fittings, arm lift pads+ extensions, 2 or 3 small bags of bolts, both covers for the safety latches, Cables, hyd pump assembly, ... No paint or base bolts though... I just started on the columns after church today. I got the cables in the columns and have started on the hyd fittings in the cylinders. Working slow...

Hope to have it standing by next weekend.

Well my home email seems to have let me down...
I called and talked to Matt in customer service but he needs a serial number and build date before he will ship the parts.
I resent the email to Jeff as well with my invoice just in case he can help.
I'll get the information off the lift this evening...

Got the cables installed and the hoses last night although I think I may have the cables swapped.... darn it...

I got it bolted down wished I read this again I have about 5/8 " of thread maybe 3/4 " on a couple of the bolts sticking through the nuts after tightening.
Am I screwed???
Can I loosen and tap them down and try again ?

I don't believe that I would try to "reset" the anchors. I'm quite sure that they will pull right back up to where they are now.

Your lift will be fine. It's almost more of a cosmetic thing, that a few are sticking up higher than others. You still have the same "gripping" effect. Just a little higher in the hole.

Thanks man, I went out to look again and a couple have 5 threads showing others are 3 a couple at 4 maybe a couple only 2.5 showing. I started them all the same way with the stud even at the top of the nut.

Got the wiring done and the arms on this evening and test ran it.
Very smooth after getting the air out. I may need to adjust the cables some more since the power side leads the other slightly. I torqued the base bolts to 100 ftlbs to make sure they were solid. One took about 1 turn to click most took about 1/2 turn. I hope they stay tight!
I put a level between the lift pads and it's between the lines so it's pretty level side to side. I need to put the locking gears in the arms and it is about ready got a test lift !

Finished it and rotated the tires on my truck this evening!!
Only issue I had was the off side latch is slow to release and you have to push the lever all the way down . It is fairly easy to have on latch release and the other still engaged .
I think I have a little to much slack in the cable though.
The over travel switch tripbarm is too short to work right the lever does not reach the cross bar very well... I don't know what to do there yet.
I put a dual indicator on the base and it didn't budge when I lifted the truck and the lift is smooth as can be . Overall I am very happy.

Emailed the guys at Bendpak and they are sending me a new switch with a longer arm and told me I needed to adjust the release cable a tighter...
The support has been awesome from Jeff and the guys ! Glad I got the Bendpak !

I also am waiting on my new xpr 10 2 post lift to arrive, I have a question on the anchor bolts, the directions i believe say to drill 4 3/4" deep, my floor is right at 4 to 4 1/2" thick, will the anchors that come with the lift still set if I drill completely through the floor.

thanks :dunno::dunno:

Bigcat,
It is perfect if you drill all the way through. The reason is that if you ruin an anchor, you can push it through the concrete floor and into the dirt, then install a replacement. Just imagine you jam a broken anchor in the concrete and you have to remove it some other way !
Just a hint when you are drilling the concrete -don't use a hammer setting on the last inch or more -you don't want to break out a huge 'mushroom' of concrete on the underside of the concrete floor. If you do, you'll be left with a floor that is much too thin and weak to hold a 2 post lift. Do everything you can to have a clean hole with no peripheral nor any underside damage.

I have the exact same issue. What's that about? I've been ignoring it but someday I'll take out my upper crossbar.....

In reading a number of installs apparently this is a common problem with the lift. I am surprised it has not been addressed by BendPak since they have such a good reputation.
