Hallo

Beta has been renewed the series of spanners 42.
I bought one for my Beta collection because I was curious.
The new on looks like Facom 440 / Toptul, only the finishing is different.

The old version 1988 > 2021 is made in Italy.
now the question is, is the new 42 made by Toptul in Taiwan??

Possibly forged by te wei and finished by rotar,

broach and finish not as nice as facom or rotar house brand toptul high performance or super torque spanner .

More a case of Rotar Toptul knows the best wrench forging factories in taiwan .
Would of been nice if done a long pattern of the super torque style . always same problem of not wanting invest extra in tooling to do more specialist styles or even add couple sizes for no skips .
Sourcing from varying manufacturers also means design features and font types are a mismatch of techniques and so forth, toptul branded socketry is a right **** for that, also amazes me why Toptul always had some of poorer spec/manufacture ratchet options ...

Bought 2 Beta 88s to take the place of the Toptul extra long zero offset AAAP skip sizes.
I found Beta inferior from an usability perspective due to the over the top mirror polish. Nice to look at, but not to use. Plus double the price.
Think Beta has outsourced tool production and just pocketing the surcharge, most of their products seem to be orange painted rebrands.

The Beta wrench is a very similar style, but they’re not the same. There are differences other than the finishing.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they were made in Taiwan, that‘s the direction Beta have been going in.
