New Bondhus Screwdrivers bent?

So I just purchased a set of bondhus torx screwdrivers (34532). The price was excellent and I had heard lots of great things about their quality. I was also psyched that they are made in the usa.

I got them today and noticed they are all slightly twisted and bent. It isn't extremely noticeable but I can definitely tell they are not perfectly straight. I put one in my cordless drill and spun it really slow and its definitely wobbling. Is this just a normal amount of variance, or is this shipping damage?

Its possible they were crushed during shipping since they just came in an amazon bubble envelope.

Is this something I should contact bondhus about? I just thought I'd ask here first and see if anyone else had a similar experience and if so, whether or not it is worth the trouble to try and have a replacement set shipped out. Thanks!

I've been looking at those. The price was attractive for a Bondhus product. I'll be curious to see replies.

I agree, they should be straight, it very annoying when they're not.

Bondhus is a very good company and they stand behind their products with good warranty and service.
Just give them a call directly, ask for Sue and they'll straighten you out.

Ive got the bondhus 10686 metric ball driver set, and not one of them is completely straight. Not wonky enough tk cause issues, but is worth noting.

I've got an old Xcelite hex blade set that's like that. Looks like they're just using the same metal wire as for hex keys. Its not a great stock for screwdrivers/bits, compounded by the thinner diameter throughout the shaft length.

A better design is a graduated profile to maintain rigidity and strength like these Vessel bits: https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B0751K53BZ/

The only situation where I needed a long thin hex driver is for my electric guitar that has a hollow bolt with an inner hex bolt used as a depth stop.

I received a single extra long driver packed in a bubble mailer that was bent mid-way at about a 30 degree angle.

And here i thought i got an elusive prototype from Bondhus....

I have some, they are not perfectly straight. It has never mattered or had any adverse effect on their use.

I found a nice extra long #2 Phillips, an industrial branded, made in Germany screwdriver. Within a week that thing was bent like a dogs hind leg. I took it out of rotation and used a Wera instead.

I have several sets and the the holes in the handles aren't drilled straight on many of them. For example, chuck the shaft in a drill and spin it - the handle wobbles, not the shaft.

Is this what you mean by bent or are the actual shafts bent?

I recently bought a new Vessel #2 wood composite screwdriver that arrived and didn't feel right, I chucked in my cordless drill and easily see why, it was crooked and wobbly wile spinning.

I'm bummed.
