Bosch just released info about their newest pocket driver, and it looks to be a great upgrade to the current PS20 version.

Oh man, I want one!! I don't think it'll be in the budget though, considering I have a PS20already. I've been looking for a good deal on a PS40, but I may be looking at this new model now.

Yes, I think a flashlight would be cool. I've never needed a 3rd battery, but it wouldn't hurt. The thing I like about this new driver is the increase in torque. The smaller size doesn't hurt either.

The smaller size would be even smaller if they'd make one in 1/4" SQ. The 1/4" hex chuck and hex to sq adaptor adds a lot of length for wrenching applications.

My guess is that more people use the hex over square. They should make it so you can remove the whole shank, depending on your needs

I realize their construction market is probably bigger than the wrenchbending side but they'd only have to change one part to make a tool much better suited to automotive, and some industrial, customers.

I also agree with the poster that said an LED worklight would be a real nice addition to the lineup.

Not if you use one of these...It only adds the length of the square drive.

And with these Bosch drivers, that becomes an option, because the chuck is magnetic.

Even with that adaptor you've still got the unnecessary length of the chuck. Better than a power adaptor though. Thanks for the tip.

That's a flashlight. I was thinking of something like this that'd take the driver batteries instead of having a built in battery.

Thus far, Bosch has a rotary driver, impact driver, heavy duty shears, right angle driver, and oscillating tool in their 12V max lineup. I'd like to see more tools added as well, but they've already covered their major bases. Perhaps a multisaw or similar will be next.

Now I will have to get one of THESE one day. I guess I will sell my beloved PS-20. I didn't know that they have cordless shears for this platform, and I am glad to see an LED flashlight. I have the old incandescent Bosh flashlight, and it is great except I can only get the bulbs from Bosch.

The shears aren't exactly a consumer-level tool, but from what I've heard they're quite robust.

You may have difficulty selling the PS20 for a good price, especially now that they're being given away for free with new 12V kit purchases.

From what I remember, the LED light isn't exactly new, but it can be somewhat rare to find. I've seen it bundled in PS20 kits at one point, but most of the time it's only available as an add-on or rebate freebie. Plus, as good as it might be, I'm sure that $40-45 can buy a decent standalone rechargeable LED work light.

Didn't know about that, thanks for the info! It looks like the PS70 is built around that cutting head, but it looks like a native design and not a "cut and paste" type of project.
