New Box…. Ever seen a Pullmax?

Going thru some 6S initiatives at the shop and came across this. I’ve been here 36 years and never noticed this before. Top was covered in grime (still more on it) and very hard to see the name. This one was full of extra tooling for our Pullmax. We recently parted with the Pullmax, new Laser ended it’s usefulness in our shop. Still hurts to see it gone…This is all that remains now. I was able to save the cover, inside had 60+ years of scum, and the front panel was missing the paint. Light trip thru the glass bead cabinet took 90% off. Going to refinish and try to save the lid art… I can’t imagine there are many more out there… Anyone?

Dumb question, how did the laser end the need for a Pullmax? Did you get something other than the metal shaping machine that they are famous for in sheet metal shaping circles?

We used the Pullmax for nibbling. We would punch a center hole and use a pinto hold the part. Then load nibbling dies in the pullmax and spin a diameter. These items were then die punched for impellers. We never used it for forming metal with the hammer dies… This is a great machine with unlimited uses. We used to laugh about it because in the instructions it had an illustration on making a DUCK… LOL.
