So the time has come and iv run out of room in my kra2007 df0db5fa17ad22b3e1c13682cf04520d.jpg iv currently looking at these two boxes, one is identical to a HF 44 only with 11 draws 5c157ede3741f2f0b55113fdaa1276f9.jpg the other is a tactix the reason I like this one is because it would storage for my welding helmet
b4a5652a5b71fa5ec845b7cb52bb460d.jpg dimensionally the 11 draw unit is larger but not
By much but the tactix has more drawers and is easier to organise, any suggestions would help
Cheers

I would thake the second one down. More drawers and room for your helmet. Im in that boat now where I dont have a place to put my helmet in my box. Keep the snappy for a cart. Or atleast that what id do.

"Where would you put a welding helmet in a lista box? "

Anywhere you want as you can configure their boxes with any size drawer, as each box is individually configured... that is if you want to waste the space for one in a relatively small box.

if I was in your location I would look for a hazet or beta box. Those are the only ones I am really familiar with and consistently drool over.

I suppose it is but there's nothing ever for sale around me and when there is it's cheaper to buy off the truck

Southern England the most expensive place on earth the tactix box above is 575£ that's 900$ across the pond I can buy the same box from northern tool for 400$, that's how much we get rapped on price in the uk also the U.S. Pro box which is basically a HF 44 is 525£ in the U.K. And it only has 11 draws rather than 13 like the U.S. general which is around 300$ honestly it's frustrating at times

I don't need to lock up a lot of big long tools and a lot of heavy stuff should or does reside on a shelf under work bench. I coul;d refine a couple drawers but I cleaned a bunch of stuff I didn't even use out which helped a lot but still want a new HF44.
I like the box the OP has or had and if I would have wanted a bit more fab a hutch. That shelf doesn't do much for me especially in that location, extra pull drawers or box shelf. Most of it is moot unless a guy has to move anyway.

I did get an idea from this thread of a reman/remodel. I wanted a new 44 but could actually simply swap boxes, one is used mostly as storage could be traded for a worn one and in future view the drawers may be better.
