u aint helpin. I am posting from a cellphone, i do not have a regular computer.

Sorry man, It was early and I was being a bit sarcastic.

Shadowing as I understand it, is just using thick foam to line your drawers. It is then custom cut(usually by hand) to fit your tools, effectively creating a "Shadow" of the tool.
You can cut half depth or full depth depending on preference.

Hope that makes sense

yes, I saw another "new tool box" thread, and I've posted in the "lets see your box" thread, but I wanted to start one of my own since I just got a new one today. It's a KRL, uh, forget the exact model. lol .
it is flat black, and will have red anodized trim. (once the rest of the trim and stainless top get delivered that is).
anywho, here's some pics!!!

Copterdoctor, I've never said this to another man but, I love your box!

If I ever needed a SnapOn box, thats the one I'd get. Congrats

Copter, the shop looks amazing, the red anodized parts are a nice touch, congrats to you sir. But now, i want to see the rest of the pelican tool box, it has drawers too ????

ya blue, it's a pelican 0450. It takes FOREVER to upload pics at my house.. I live in the sticks and internet is slow.. If I try to upload more than 3 pics at a time it freezes up... but I'll try to remember to do it on my lunch break tomorrow.... been trying to get my snapon guy to reply to my text for the part number on the snapon travel box he has on his truck that's similar to my pelican.. IT has 3 deep drawers and 4 shallow.. vs my 1 deep and 5 shallow... it weighs the same as mine, and is a bit bigger, so I assume the plastic isn't as heavy duty...
until then, here's 3 more pics of the shadowing in my snapon..
a lot of my tools are in my field box right now, hence all the red ya'll see... (weather has inhibited getting to Valdez AK the last few days, so the field box is full at the moment just waiting to go)

THAT is a killer box!! How did you come up with the color combo?

go to the first page of this thread, look at my old box... my snapon guy knew I like that color combo and recommended it when I metioned I might want to upgrade my box... he had also seen my garage at my house when he picked up my old box to deliver it to my new job... if you go to the garage gallery, and find the "slave to the groove garage" you'll understand... lol
I have red and black tattoos, red and black cell phone case, red and black, red and black... lol

Finally after 4 months got this box last week so stoked on it. Couldn't believe the size over the krl722 I had.

they call it Flat black.. but I think it's more of a matte finish..
it has worn pretty well so far... but, it does have a small scratch on one side that I believe wouldn't have been noticeable on a different color box. ie, the regular type powdercoated boxes... I dropped a pair of pliars and it barely knicked the side and left a mark.. most other boxes you'd have never noticed...
I've been keeping the black matt that came with the box on top of the stainless top... I worked with a guy who's 6 month old top looked 10 years old because he has never had any protection on it...
the anodize will scratch very easily I assume.. my last box had full anodized drawer fronts, and it did scratch pretty easily... luckily on this box it's just the trim that's anodized, so no scratches so far...
I'm a little OCD when it comes to my box/tools, so I imagine it will hold up really well...

I'll post pics in a few days of all the tool shadowing now that it's done too.
thanks for the props fellas

Haha! The Copterdoctor said "props"!
