New brake lines no more steel

Just saw these last week at the garage working on my truck. Replaced my lines with it. Anyone else use this newer type of line? I was told easy to "hand bend" & no more worries re: rust

I've used it in a few "period" hot rods, for the look of copper lines that kids used from the hardware store to make brake lines. It was pretty easy to use, looked pretty good. Keith

I've used that stuff too. It's what the guy at the plumbing/fitting supply recommended. He was right.

I've been using copper nickel alloy lines for a couple of years now. I will never go back to steel lines.

most auto parts sell it. Just bought 25 feetfrom ebay for 25.00. Just to have "in case"

Thanks, have not seen it yet here (I live in the rustbelt) so I was just wondering...steel brakelines are a pain in the A$$...

Just did my entire truck in copper nickel. It's by far the superior brake line material, Volvo has been using it since the 80s I believe. Ships use it for sea water systems, about the worst possible environment for a metal. And yeah it's very easy to bend and flare.

S.U.R&R makes them also. They also sell kits of brake line fittings and a really cool fuel line repair kit that has saved the day many a time. One of my parts suppliers carries the full line. I think they make an A/C line repair kit also.

Copper nickel is excellent. I've used it on 2 cars. I have 50 feet of coated steel I'll probably just give away.

In the UK they sell it by the roll. so if you want straight lengths you have to unwind it (No Sh*t)
But the best way to get it really straight is to place it between 2 sheets of plywood and roll the top sheet back and forth with the pipe in-between. Works like a charm.

What kind of price is it compared to steel lines. I imagine it's more expensive. And soes it flare easier than the steel lines?

Auto zone is selling precut and flared section in standard lengths. I just used it on my crawler to make a convoluted section of brake line on the rear axle. Works great. I'm not going back to steel.

we just started using it at the mine where i do alot of work to replace steel brake lines on there pickups that will never leave there till they are scrap. our problem was finding it, carquest was the only parts vendor we could find that could get it locally. they had to order it in too.

I'm glad I just spent a million dollars for SS brake lines for my buggy.........I'll be using this in the future.

How are they to bend and flare a 37 degree? I've always used seamless stainless for my brake lines
