Hello everyone, I found this socket set cleaning up and was wondering for more info on it. Its all there as far as I can tell, never heard of the company. Just wondering age and where they would have been sold. Thanks for your time.

New Britain was one of the big players back in the day. You'll see their distinctive round head ratchets sold under many, many brands, including New Britain, Husky, Blackhawk, MAC and many others.

That set is probably one of their earlier pieces.

While New Britain tools were sold at Many NAPA stores, it wasn't a NAPA brand and they weren't sold exclusively at NAPA stores, I believe.

Yes, in their heyday 60's-early 70's?), New Britain made some high quality handtools and private labeled them for a variety of retailers. The tools in your pic appear to be much older, and probably part of their economy line.
