Some pics of the lot and I have the Bendpak XPR10 operational. I also had a video surveillance system installed to keep an eye on the methheads when I am closed.

Cool. I will bet after sweating all the design and details, you are glad to be in the new shop.

:DYes I am! The old building was literally falling down and not a pleasant place to work in the last yr. I am still not completely done, I have some more woodwork to do and I am building a rasied wood paneled wall.

I finally made some more progress on the office woodwork. I have not had a lot of time with running the business and all. I put up the cherry veneer panels on the wall today. Now I have to trim out the window opening and add the solid cherry rails and stiles to make a raised panel wall like seen in old victorian libraries and studies.

Great affordable build but WOW, the cherry woodwork and old doors definitely will highlight all your hard work. With the Victorian theme also involved, you've add lots of class . . . nice workmanship!

Can you give a recap of dimensions of overall building, and office sizes you are building with stick wall? Anyone ask about wood studs versus steel?

Didn't see any discussion on what HVAC you decided on using or whether you considered heating from pipes imbedded in the concrete floor (ie radiant)?

Keep the pics coming on your progress as enjoyed reading the entire thread.

Thanks for the kind words, the cherry woodwork and extra touches in the office is my favorite part of the build. The building is 30x60x13, the office is roughly 15x30. I am more comfortable working with wood studs than metal. The office is heated by a portable quartz radiant heater and cooled by a window ac unit installed in the wall. The office is very well insulated and is easy to heat and cool. The workshop currently has no heat or ac but I will be installing a fuel oil furnace in the next few weeks. I considered in floor heat but on a low budget it just wasn't feasable, I will probably regret it this winter when my feet are freezing from standing on the cold floor.

VERY nice. I sent you a PM with a few questions if you don't mind. I am in Limestone TN and getting ready to build a 30x40 garage. Looking for some advice on local contractors, where you bought your building, etc. It won't be a commercial building so hopefully the local building codes won't be too difficult.

Very interested in the build, do you have a step by step process on hanging the garage doors? I am in the process of preparing my floor to be poured and have been moving my 6x6s around for final placement. Do you need a header for support or do the rails support the majority of the weight? I was hoping to bolt the rails directly to the 6x6s. If not I will add 2x6s to each 6x6 and add a header. As far as exact width, do I have any wriggle room or does the width have to be exactly 10 feet wide for a 10x10 door.

After adding gravel and a vapor barrier for your cement, did you place the wire mesh directly on the ground/plastic or did you raise it off the ground?
