I do get on my high horse at times and should chill, I am the man that still thinks the 6.0 powerstroke is the best engine ever made0!

that gives you as much credibility as the guy sitting beside a Craftsman workbench for a photo op

whoever the guy in the picture is, I can not take anyone seriously who uses a 26 gauge sheetmetal workbench in his shop.

just like Pat Goss is never seen without his ****** Craftsman cabinets.

Many Chinese tools look nice, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I say use them and report back with how they hold up. I've twisted off drive ends on a couple Chinese extensions when using them hard. Then I've substituted a quality extension, right in the same setup, and succeeded in removing the fastener with no breakage. I cannot understand the people that say extensions are all the same and they're not worth spending money on because I've noticed some pretty big differences that make the difference between getting the job done and not getting it done. I'm sure it's even worse for a wobble extension, even though there's quite a bit more material left on that particular Chinese Craftsman wobble.

But I notice when there is a big discount on a chinese craftsman tool posted on the hot deals section of this board, it is sold out in a few hours.

Yeah. Lot of guys ***** and moan but money talks. Says what you want about CM, Chinese CM or Sears in general....if you wait long enough you can get their stuff pretty damn cheap. I'd agree with a lot of the guys bitching about Sears if I were paying full price maybe, but I've got a lot of stuff from the Hot deals thread at 1/3, 1/2 or more than half off. I've been lucky and gotten mostly made in the USA stuff. That includes the thin profile ratchets, hex/torx bit set, impact sockets etc. All USA made. I'd give Chinese Craftsman a try but it better be at a pretty good price.

As far as quality goes, I don't use them for a living but I use my tools a lot. Other than trading in a ratchet about 12 years ago, when I break my next Craftsman hand tool, it'll be my first. No chrome issues...nothing.

You mean those craftsman industrial? Those were/are us made.

There are currently 7 threads on the first page of the hot deals for Sears/Craftsman products. I doubt there is any retailer that even comes close the number of threads on the Hot Deals board.
