I was looking at my flyer from Harbor Freight for tool boxes and found these.

I was looking for a 26 in stack but that white is looking mighty good.

Is HF getting ready to change over the US General boxes?

White may look good on the web page and when it arrived in the shop, but what's it going to look like after a couple months — weeks? — of being opened and closed with inevitably grimy fingers?

Harbor Freight is launching the US General series 3 in May. That slate grey cart looks pretty sweet.

I was on the fence about the color too. I do a weekly or bi-weekly cleaning of the garage and wipe down my junk.

5 months in and holding up. Granted I'm alone in the garage and not really messy.

For a moment I thought about upgrading my Gen 2 cart for a full bank cart in black only. $500 for inside track members is about as good as it gets. Back to reality, its taken 4 years, but I think I finally got my old cart where I want it to be...

It's been a long time, but I'm still unreasonably salty about the fact that they released more colors about two weeks after I bought my red cart.

The blue sure is puuuuuurdy. I've seriously considered more than once whether buying a blue cart and selling my red one might be worth the money lost. Probably not.

Anyway, some people are the sort of people who can and will keep a white cart clean and looking good for years, and some people are the sort of people who could never pull off such a feat. I presume both kinds of people will self-select when choosing a cart color.
