Do you mean that they are not currently in stock, or do you mean that he for some reason will not make a set of jaws for that vise?

Sorry guys, I do not have the time to build Columbian jaws. I wish someone would take the bull by the horns and support the Columbian Vises. I am not interested.

Wilton also does not carry these jaws. They gave me the contact info for the supplier they used to use - a company called Beejax. Apparently Beejax was the machine shop behind viseparts.com. It seems that both of those are out of business.

My vise will be used in the shop so I will probably just clean them up as well as possible with a file/grinder(they don't seem to be hardened). I was wondering if an option would be to create a bar to go in the "T" portion with 2 threaded holes to hold a similar width and height jaw plate.

I have also recently acquired a similar vintage 604-M2. Any idea when yours was made? or a good source for Columbian vise history/info? Also, I'm curious why you are looking for replacement jaws... are the original ones damaged?

70's or 80's maybe? I think it was mid to late 80's when they switched to screw-in jaws instead of the pinned T-jaws. Could be a little earlier.

Are they not hardened, just mild steel?
