I recently got a new, 3 gallon (max psi 125) air compressor from Sears (Craftsman). I mostly got this one to fill up car/bike tires and compressed air to clean things up a bit (so, not a heavy user). I put a link to this compressor below.
I got it working but noticed if I set the regulator to around 60 psi, it appears to be leaking a bit, I can feel the air on my hand around the regulator. It isn't a lot but it is there and I can hear it. If I turn it up (i.e., up to 90 psi or so), the leak stops.
Is this normal? Any fixes? It is within the return window, so I can exchange it, but just want to make sure this isn't something that can be fixed with the turn of a wrench or that it isn't normal.
It doesn't seem to affect my capability to fill up my car tires, but, if it isn't right, I don't want to hang onto it needlessly.
Thanks.
