Just a couple things.
First, mounting anything directly to a compressor receiver is a FOOL'S ERRAND. The receiver wasn't built, especially recent production, to be a mount for anything. If you doubt that just look at the number of 5 year old units with stress cracks.
Secondly, NOTHING should be connected to a receiver other than a VALVE. When the **** hits the fan, and it will, you really ain't going to stop compressed air with your finger like some Dutch kid.
THIRD, any compressor, especially verticals should be bolted to the floor AND strapped to the wall. It's damn cheap insurance, and they DO fall over!
Now, about 3/4 regulators, you don't find them because regulators that size fall into the industrial market. Putting a regulator directly next to the receiver is poor design. You can move one hell of a lot more CFM thru a ½' pipe at receiver pressure than you can at 90psi. Compressed air suffers tremendous transmission friction traveling thru a pipe.
