I just had a concrete floor poured in my pole building about a week and a half ago. Is there a waiting period necessary before etching and applying an epoxy floor coating? I would like to do it before I start to move stuff in for simplicity, so getting it done sooner than later would be nice. But I want it done right.

Thank you,
Ryan

I had mine poured a little over a month ago. I flooded it with water for a week and then let it sit for three more. 28 days is the general recommendation from everything I've ever read/learned.

28 days is the guideline.

The rule of thumb is a month, but this can vary WIDELY based on conditions, thickness of the slab, etc.

Test for moisture using the clear plastic sheet test method. If it passes, you should be ok. Make sure to clean/etch or grind and always strongly recommend the matching epoxyy primer.
