New concrete floor and misapplied sealer advice

Hello all, I am new to posting on the forum and appreciate in advance any advice. I have a new concrete floor in my shop project poured 4 months ago. At that time some sealer was applied but sprayed very incompletely over the new concrete. I have been reading through the Threads to try and figure out how to fix it. It appears to be the film forming type sealer and the concrete guy claims it is Super Diamond Clear - Concrete Sealer from Euclid Chemical

This forms a sealer film over part of the floor and other parts are lighter and appear to have no sealant at all. I am after a mostly smooth finish and even level of coloring and am wondering if I can just finish the application over the rest of the floor or need to remove what was done. If my pics make it you will see the inconsistency in the application. Any advice is welcome.

Removing these kinds of products is difficult. I'd clean the floor real well and put another more uniform coat right over it.

I was thinking reapplying and hoped the additional application will result in better color consistency but if the answer was grind it off and start over I didn't want to add to the problem. I think I will test a small patch and see what the result may be. Thx

Consult the MFG. They may have a process you need to follow for the recoat.

If that fails there are strippers for acrylic sealers or you can grind and go in another direction.

I had a similar experience with a different product. My slab looked just like yours. I was hoping it would all lighten up eventually. A lot of it did but not all. I waited 18 months. Then I rented a moving pod emptied the garage power washed and applied 2 more coats of the same product. I still have many variations but I can live with it. It’s protected and oil, salt and the like cleans right up. If I were to ever do again I would not have had a cure and seal put on right after powertrowled.

I would clear out the garage, clean the floor with a mild soap and water and rinse well. After the floor has completely dried (atleast 24hrs) reapply the same sealer over the entire floor, but using an 18in roller. The coloring may not be perfect, but using the roller will allow you to back roll the areas that the sealer does not soak into hopefully removing any excess from those areas. Euclid diamond is an awesome product line, but really film forming dealers should not be pump sprayer applied as they are too thick to get even coverage.
