[:rocker:Started prep work for my concrete last Friday :rocker::rocker: Pour is suppose to start tomorrow (Monday morning) I was walking around inside last night and making a map of where I had dug out my two boxes for my lift, looked around and was wondering how do you guys protect walls from concrete possibly splashing up on wall when its poured?? Im thinking about heading to Lowes and getting another roll of vapor barrier and just stapling it to bottom board and up the wall. Then, when concrete is cured, just cut off excess flush with top of pad?? Any thoughts???? I dont want to have to scrape off concrete off the side of walls..any suggestions as to what you guys have done is appreciated! Also, my concrete guy is sealing it as part of the job, but should i seal again after he is done? What are some good sealers out there for the money? Thanks..here is a pic of progress so far!! :rocker:

Your idea about taping up some plastic to protect the wall panels is a good one.

You didn't ask but I'd suggest a couple other things. I'd get that rebar up on some supports. Don't trust the crew to pull it up as they go. It will end up laying uselessly on the ground and they'll poke your vapor barrier full of holes doing it.

Another suggestion would be to tape up the seams and penetrations of your vapor barrier. It won't be effective if you don't.

Finally, I'd moist sure the slab and think about sealers later on. Good luck with the placement.

Thank you LLwillysfan for advise.. Yes there is a bucket of rebar chairs waiting to be installed. My concrete guy said he does not like placing them until pour day because of they can poke holes while we were still prepping.... what do you suggest for taping seams? Thanks again
