New concrete floor question

The contractor is getting ready to have the new construction basement floor and attached garage floor poured - probably next week. Is there anything we need to tell him to do or not to do if we plan to epoxy coat in the future? He did say that they put down a sealer. Will this interfere with the epoxy?

Thanks,
Dave

The sealer will have to be removed. My only suggestion is to have them seal it and once construction is completed, grind or shotblast the concrete when your ready for the floor.

Do not seal!

We do have a product that you might want to use. It allow to skip the 28 day cure and epoxy coat in about 24 hours after the pour. You also do not need to do any further etching, which is usually advised even with new concrete.

PM or email me for more info.

What product is that? Is it better to wait the 28 days or try and do it within 24 hours after the pour?
