Got my floor poured about 5 months ago but the floor is still chalky...Besides painting it right now, anyone know how to get rid of the constant chalk? If you lay on the floor you get concrete dust all over you.

I dont want to park my car in there until it stops coming up.

Anyone have any pointers?

NY98M3 ......... had the same issue with my slab. The contractor worked it too much. My fault, should have told what I wanted in terms of a final finish.
Anyway, powerwashing, grinding, etching, and final power wash got it good enough for me to seal.

You can use a diamond grinder to grind down to a hard surface of concrete. As Scotty stated previously, any coating applied will eventually release if it is applied onto a chalky concrete.
