Hello GJ forum!
I recently purchased a new construction home and will be moving in, in a month. From the time I get the keys until the time I move in will be 6 days. In those 6 days, my mission is to get the garage floor painted and maybe even paint the walls.
We purchased the house in late February when the framing was done and the garage slab had not been pored yet. We stopped by every week to take pictures, so I have pictures of all the framing, electrical and plumbing. From my picture archive, the foundation was poured sometime around March 11th. On that day, they still had not poured the driveway and concrete slab was still framed in wood. We close on May 19th, so that will have given the concrete just over 60 days to cure.
I don't think there will ever be a car parked in this garage. It will be my own personal shop with a work bench, a small office desk with a computer and at some point in time, a mill and a lathe. I'll most likely have rubber mats laid around the work areas. I'll probably put in a TV and some surround sound too.
Some items will be bolted to the floor, so I need to consider when to drill the hole patterns in the concrete.
I'll eventually have lots of shelves and maybe even install some nice cabinets.
What products would you recommend considering my intended usage? I would like some sort of textured floor.
I like the looks of something like these...
What steps would you deem necessary and un-necessary? How would you do it?
Oh, and I should mention that I am very mechanically inclined and I usually overthink things. It's probably a by-product of my professions.
Thanks in advance,
Tony.
