Hello, last night I picked up a Cornwell cat4150 impact gun, and socket set. The set was new and I feel like I got a decent deal on it. I was wondering if anyone has used the cat4150, I have read some great things about it online. For the price I couldn't pass it up.

I also could not locate the set on the cornwell website, so I cant find much information on the sockets. The owner claimed that they were unused and made in the USA.

Does anyone else have this set?

As far as I know, they are not made in the US, but in Taiwan. The sockets are the "Bluepower" line, similar to Sunex/Grey Pnuematic. It's the value line, much like Snap On's Blue Point, Matco's ADV line, etc.

That set is about $450 on the truck new, my dealer had some a few months ago. I have the similar 3/8 version set. I've been pretty happy with mine, one of my most used tools. The CATs are nice guns IMHO. If my 1/2 Nitrocat dies I will probably replace it with a CAT4150 if I can't get ahold of a Proto for a decent price.

Sorry, but those sockets look like Cornwell's blue power line which are not US made. Cornwell US made sockets have USA stamped right on them and don't have the gold high vis markings. it doesn't mean they're bad sockets, they aren't US made.

Thanks for the information. It seems like the cat4150 impact had a lot of good reviews elsewhere.

What is the model number of the 3/8 set?

thanks

I have the 3/8 model and I love it. I have the the Matco boot for it. Matco sells the same gun labeled "Matco" so I knew I could get the boot from the truck.

That is it thanks for the information. I am going to see how the 1/2" works and wait around for a deal on the 3/8 set.

Cat4150 from Cornwell has two twins the Napa and the Matco. I have been using one for several months now and i love the thing it has a little less power than a snap on mg725 but it is quiet light and decently small

It's a great gun, short, light and powerful, the Napa version is the 6-1123, but I have never seen it sold by Matco in the 1/2" version, they have the 3/8" version of it though, which is the MT2138 as does Cornwell, the CAT2150. Great guns IMO and one of my favorites. Not sure about the sockets, but those sets are on ebay from time to time.

I have both Cornwell 4150 and 2150 they are the best I have used so far. I had the mg725 before and the cornwell is much stronger. also have the blue power impact sockets in 3/8 and have yet to break one.

The sockets are pretty much your generic Taiwan chrome moly impact sockets. Good quality.

It's great to see them dual marked. My shallow 1/2'' drives were only lazer etched and in a years time I could no longer read them. All my other impact sockets are size stamped. I'm going to replace my shallow 1/2'' drives with stamped as well, or at least dual marked. Never again will I buy lazer etched only.
