New Craftsman "2-in-1" pliers

Doesn't appeal to me, but I can see how it could be practical for anyone who REALLY doesn't want 2 separate tools in their tool belt or box.

7" overall length is a big downside imho.

Like alot of sears new tools. Weekend warrior gimmick. For the same price on sale or just a bit more you can get their nice wire strippers and a solid pair of linesman pliers.

I got a pair of those at ace hardware 7 years ago, they are great. I don't remember the brand, but I have used them on more than a couple of times

Looks like Husky, Allied, and a few other brands made "SwitchGrip" pliers of similar design.

IMHO, things like that are a waste of money, especially when you can get the real deal with alot more utility for just a bit more $. You asked what I thought, that is what I think.

Makese sense, and an agreeable point. I don't really think the pliers are even aimed at Weekend Warriors - they seem to be aimed at beginner DIYers.

Import or U.S.A. ? $25.00 kinda pricey for the junk drawer in the kitchen or to put in the tool bag on the quad , I would just hit the flea market and find 2 pieces for $25.00 used U.S.A. made.
