Has anyone else seen this or did I just miss it? I also noticed that www.craftsmanindustrial.com is now up and running. I've been looking to complete some of my sets that I got from the Hot Deals from Sears Outlets sales and got a lot from Zoro and Grainger.

I recently noticed that Grainger has "no longer available" for a lot of Craftsman Industrial wrenches that I was about to order so I emailed Craftsman and she gave me the link to the new catalog. Quite a few nice sets to compliment what I got dirt cheap from Sears Outlet and as usual ALL the Craftsman Industrial stuff seems to be Made in USA!

Seems legit. I've known of the Professional series but how long has this Industrial line been around. I've always been a fan of Craftsman but the shift to Made in China has been a let-down.

thats kind of funny. there are full sets of the rp wrench's in there say made in usa. but they changed the name to craftsman industrial. So are the us forges still up and running and they are just not selling to the average joe now?

^^^ I would guess it costs more to ship the old machines to China or Tiawan than it would cost to just build new ones.

i thought i lost all hope and respect for craftsman tools. but they just jumped up one notch.

Same. I have always loved the american made craftsman tools.

This new line of made in the USA tools will be in my tool box very soon.

The catalog is interesting. It's a mix of the Industrial USA line and the new Chinese tools.

The tools that are USA made are clearly marked, but it also includes the regular Chinese RP and fully polished wrenches, for example.

The industrial line appears to be the same as the old made in the USA line that was (and still can be found) in Sears stores.

I have a few socket sets, ratchets, extensions and wrench sets. The industrial line seems to omit some sizes such as the 11/32 in the raised panel wrenches.

Sometimes the industrial line shows up on sears.com as professional use.

One can warranty these at full line sears stores should a tool get broken. (I don't know about outlet and hometown stores) It's a good idea to keep the content sheets that come with the craftsman industrial tools to help the employees get right part numbers as these numbers aren't store inventory numbers

Just a quick scan through the catalog and I found out that Craftsman now has 1/2" drive 6 point sockets, in 16th, up to 1-1/2" (except for 1-5/16, 1-3/8 and 1-7/16).

I sure wish they had a larger 1/2" breaker bar.

Also ZORO Tools seems to have it all !

Nice find, but I picked up a ton of Craftsman Industrial stuff at the outlets this past year. I love the wrenches!

I emailed the lady I was corresponding with and gave her some part #'s that I'd like to purchase. I'm interested to hear back to see price and where to buy them at.

Tell me if what I'm seeing is wrong or not. When you go to the ratchet pages they show made in the USA. Is that for all of them? I just finished out my set of thin profiles off of eBay but I'd buy new if they were USA made and resell my old stuff.

I would like to see these tools in regular sears stores. Not all of them but maybe put them in the busier tool sales stores or maybe in the hardware stores. I think it would make the line feel more exclusive and and sales would be better than just at a industrial supply house. Then promote it. Give the USA industrial tools their own display area and promote the fact that they are USA made and good tools. I think given the choice at a few dollars more than the china stuff a lot a customers would pony up the extra couple bucks for the good stuff. But the key is to promote it like it is special. I would be at the sears that sells industrial stuff weekly

This catalog is so much better formatted that the regular Craftsman one.

SOS sears website - many times I try to load a link to sears and the little clock thingie sits there running in circles on a blank screen forever. The above link goes to the home page, then in about 10 seconds the screen goes blank, end of story.

Note that Sears and now this one is the only website that does this, so it's not a browser problem. :(:(:(

The 84T Premium ratchets say USA on the head in the picture but I don't see them listed in any of the red outlined boxes with the USA tag. Wonder if they are are/are not. Already have a set, just something that stood out.

Their website says all hand tools are US made.

All the Industrial branded hand tools are made in the USA.

The 84 tooth ratchets don't carry the Industrial brand. They're just branded "Craftsman." But, I've never seen anything but USA-made examples of the 84 tooth ratchet.

Craftsman wants to keep Military contracts and they require USA made, and they dont warranty much

many large corporation, and union type jobs require, even if its not written rule, that USA made tools and such must/should be sourced over import if possible also.

Nice catalog but where you can place an order?

Sears doesn't sell Industrial and the fledgling distributers only scratch the surface with stocking the lineup.

Name one place where one could special order anything in this catalog?

Interesting how the adjustable wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers that are long gone from the stores are in that catalog.
Dave, I found a couple old Craftsman catalogs at work from when Fastenal distributed their professional stuff.

I'm looking at this, and for every kit, each socket has it's own part number. The ones listed as Craftsman Industrial have a different part number for the same socket, and only the CI ones have a flag emblem with the "made in usa" icon. Is it possible they've changed the branding, and USA made is now "Craftsman Industrial", and import is simply "Craftsman"?

It would be an interesting way to do it. Joe-Blow-doesn't-give-a-damn can still walk into the store and buy whatever cheap tool he wants, and those of us that do care for USA tools can buy the CI line.

I'd be especially interested to see if it results in a possibility of warrantying old school USA made "Craftsman" with the USA made "Craftsman Industrial"

I realize this may not add much to the discussion, but I suddenly just gained a little more respect for Sears...

These tools remind me of the tools I saw in the Sears store back in the early to mid 1990s.

Go to the tool bar on the top of the pdf and click on the button farthest to the right that says "download individual pages". When that opens type 1-452 in the bar on the right and then click the "download selection" button. That should download the whole catalog to a single pdf.

EDIT: You can only download 50 pages at a time.

Thanks. I knew that much. I've got several 50 page files now. I'm sure I can find a program to put them together into one when I get around to looking for it.

I wonder what the difference in price will be, for those things which are available made in USA, and have an identical counterpart Craftsman piece. I've got a set of full polish John Deere wrenches. They're available in two part numbers. One taiwanese manufacture, one USA, otherwise identical. One is priced about $125, the other $500. I expect the domestically manufactured ones will cost more, but hopefully not obscenely so.
