:) Just saw these in the newest Sears catalog:

Craftsman is selling Flip sockets. Not bad for $79.99 and still made in the USA!

I was going to get the Snap on, but they are $87.35. OUCH!

American Made. That's worth buying and passing on to the kids.:bounce:

Isn't that the truth! So little is made here anymore and it's a shame, maybe we wouldn't have all these recalls thats going on now adays.

Regrettfully the USA will never have the quality or pride in making stuff for ourselves like the old days, unless you have a gaint shop with every tool possible to create parts from scratch.

I've no doubt this is the manufacturer. Sears has to my knowledge never claimed to be a manufacturer. I think they realize the public understands this and accepts that they are rebadging and selling pretty decent quality, at a pretty fair price, with what up until recently anyway has been a pretty good warranty, and very good availability. This is true whether it is tools, appliances, electronics, etc. I can remember when the Ted Williams line of sporting goods meant quality for the average guy. I'm quite sure most all of it was rebadged firearms, ballgloves or whatever.

Disclaimer: This post not meant to trigger another Craftsman vs. anyone else discussion.:lol_hitti

I dunno - BWP says the Craftsman ones were made in the US, which would indicate the Snap-On/BluePoint stuff was as well.

Looking at the sears.com page, though, I can't see any mention that they are made in the US.

Heck yes, Ted Williams s**t rocks! I'm sure I still have some tents and coolers with his name on them around here somewhere...

Those flips will work much better on an extended anvil gun in lieu of that extension.
