Hi,

Have you guys bought Craftsman power tools since they are owned by Stanley/Black and Decker ?

How is the quality compared to other brands ?

Thanks !

Iirc the us assembled driver and drill are basically DeWalt equivalents if that gives you any idea. The rest is probably more like PC quality

I'll second the line up being very similar in appearance, specs, and price to Porter Cable.

That is my observation as well. I bought the USA assembled, brush-less drill as a Christmas gift to my father. So far he has used the heck out of it. Hasn't missed a beat either and it sits in a dusty and humid farm workshop 24/7.

Porter Cable, Ryobi, old Craftsman 19.2, Mastercraft Maximum along with the new Craftsman brushed models I am guessing were or about equal

Milwaukee brushed was nothing to write home about. The made in Mexico DeWalt in my opinion was better. Base Makita a step above these. Then theirs Kobalt and Rigid.

I think their something like 4 models of new Craftsman drills . Probably a quality level for everybody
