I've seen a similar product. Looks like a tool that would come in handy under the hood. However since its so tall it limits the spaces it can be used in. I wish it were 3/8 not 1/4

I saw it yesterday, and it was pretty cool
The collar is able to up and down a couple of inches, so you can spin the **** out of it

I don't have a use for one of these but I still wanted it....

Never used one so I don't know how it compares to other gear

The commercial for that thing is kind of funny. A guy opens up a roll cab drawer to find that T handle and like two other tools in the middle of a bunch of empty real estate. A little later, he reaches into a hand box and finds the T handle riding in it with like one other thing.

Apparently, that T handle is so useful that he went ahead and threw out all of his other tools.

I was just wondering how this is any better than just using a sliding t bar and extensions?

I saw the other thread on this the other day. I didn't think my local hometown store would have it but they did have a few. I should have looked at it closer but I was ready to go.

Maybe I'll stop back by. :dunno:

I purchased one...they are advertising that it has been tested to 1700 rpm. I told the clerk that my production level has just been increased. My son used it to replace the "doo-hickey" on his KLR 650. Is a very nice addition to the arsenal.

1700 RPM? Why would they test it like that? Maybe they're just quoting the speed rating of the collar bearings.

Just bought one. Kmart has this on sale for 8.50. At that price I thought I'd give it a try.

I was just thinking that same thing..

A.) It is solid with no wobble between the joints
B.) It has a spinner on the shaft vs your hand.

Funny, these have been around since the 1920's. Very handy for low torque applications.

I love mine. It comes in so handy in some applications, then again I work in industrial maintenance and not automotive. I have had it for about 6 months now and have no complaints at all. It is very well built. I use mine exclusively with a 3/8 adapter on it as I have very little use for quarter inch sockets at work. For low torque applications where there are a lot of bolts to remove quickly there is nothing better I have found, as long as you have clearance for it. It is very solid.

I bought a set of these (Astro 4 pc) probably 4 months ago. I have literally never used them, and I work with my tools 5 days a week. I'm sure they are magnificent at some things, but I haven't found it yet.

I use mine primarily for snugging down valve cover bolts, intake manifold bolts etc. I didnt think I would use it much but I do.

To those that have used it, is it better to use than a speeder handle wrench. I use my 3/8 speeder all the time and love it.

They are great for small engine (aka low torque fasteners) when you don't have access to pneumatic and don't own battery powered tools.

No, much handier for low torque applications, you can hold it with one hand and give it a good flick/twist with the other. If the bolt is clean it will spin right out in.
