Last week I scored what I think is a great deal on a couple Craftsman tool boxes.
I responded to an ad that was 35 minutes old and got these for $35 each(!)
I didn't bother negotiating with the person - a 15 year old boy with the voice of an older man. These toolboxes hadn't even ever held tools. They'd been using them as dressers, holding clothes so they don't even have scratches on them.
Despite that, the shorter of these two boxes matches two I have already except they're red. No problem, I'll shoot them with Rustoleum Regal Red and they'll all match. I'm going to gang them together and use them under a bench top.
As purchased (Sorry, the shot came out colored kinda funny):
Even though it was nearly 100 degrees today, I pulled the casters and gave the box a light sanding with 100 grit, wiped and painted it red. Outside only and didn't bother with the back as it will be under a workbench top, as I said.
QUESTION:
Is there a spray can color that matches the navy blue that Craftsman uses? I don't really like the blue much but my oldest (and only) top box is in need of freshening up so I'm considering painting it blue to match and using them together as stand-alones.
