Here's a fun new toy for me, picked this up at Acme tools and they threw in a free 15 amp circular saw. Actually surprised me how nice it cuts compared to a cheapo 10 amp.
Anyway this is the DW7491RS which is my first table saw ever and I really like it so far. The fence is fantastic and the motor is powerful so it does not bog down, at least within reason.
I set up a small Ridgid vac with a Dust Deputy on top and added some ABS pipes to collect dust from the saw and it picks up almost all the dust, just a little sprays out here and there. So it's a pretty clean operation which is nice since I will be using this in the basement when it gets cold.
So far I've just been doing random small projects, but even for that it's nice to have a saw that is super accurate and precise. No more saw horse balancing acts!
One project was some ramps made from treated 2x6s and it ripped through on a 22 degree angle no problem, well it did start to stress a little but this was a thick slice through wet heavy wood so I was still impressed.
Here's a recent setup, the saw packs away in pretty small space so it's easy to store and sets up fast too.

The other thing is I feel pretty safe using this saw. In the past table saws freaked me out, but I think that was mostly bad fence alignment and a lack of skill on my part.
Using this saw I have much less concern regarding kickback because the fence is very true to the blade and I also have watched plenty of Norm Abram shows on the right way to use a table saw so I've got that going for me!
