As shown in the picture only two of the six have bolsters. You wont use it often but when you need it you will appreciate it being there.

They look to be to expensive as far as I'm concerned. I don't see anything that makes them better than Wera, Wiha, Klein, etc. The only way I could see them justifying that price with their features is if they had Made in USA stamped on them. And I don't see the COO listed anywhere.

Made is USA with global materials is in big letters at the first link.

Weird, that image didn't load when I first looked at the page. It's still not really Made in USA though. That's mainly marketing ****. Everything was made somewhere else and then someone in the US probably got paid minimum wage to glue the handle to the shank.

Is there anything in particular you like about these, or just a fan of the big yellow?

Pretty weak lineup, 4 flat heads and 2 phillips?

But if you are looking for Made in USA, super comfy, strong tipped, lifetime warranty look no further then the TEKTON 26757 Slotted and Phillips Screwdriver Set, 12-Piece for $22! on Amazon right now. I have a set and love them.

....or overpay for Dewalts hard push into the hand tool game, same goes for Milwaukee.

A lot different than their previous version, that was available at Home Depot.

Stanley is a large company that been making hand tools for at least 150 years. These new DeWalt screwdrivers are probably made in the same plant as Mac and Proto. Eventually there will be be a new Craftsman screwdriver made there also

Its just a new choice for people that live outside of the USA and dont buy tools over the internet

I have a feeling that when they said "Made in the USA with global materials", they mean the handles are injection molded here, while the meat, the blades, and made in ChinCom.

I'll take my Williams screwdrivers (Basically Williams handles w/ Snapon blades) over them anyday. But if someone knows of a screwdriver with Bolsters and better than SO/Williams, by all means, please do tell!

Has anyone actually used these Dewalts and can give us a first hand opinion.?

I have seen Dewalt screw drivers in HD and my local hardware store for a while. I am sure they are decent but as someone already said it is missing some other sizes any handyman would want. Probably better options out there for the cost. The Tekton set for $22 for one.

I am real happy with my Toptul go through drivers. A lot more money but they are solid, comfortable enough and versatile.

Probably only pad printed and packaged here.

The Toptul go throughs that I just mentioned in my earlier post have boltsters on all sizes.

No question they are more expensive. But the Toptuls are go throughs so you need to compare apples to apples.

This has come up many times before. I am not alone on this one........Many people on here like the Pitts Pro screw driver set. Surprisingly good quality for the price. I just got one for my travel tool box. That way if I loose one I don't worry too much about it. No boltsters and skips the P3 but for $10 you are hard pressed to beat it.

It’s amazing to me that such superior tools made of natural materials in a high cost country can be sold at such a reasonable cost.

The only reasonable knock on Felo woodies, unless you hate the handle shape, is no square drive available.

Was referring to the Dewalt screwdrivers being too expensive.

But what does go through mean? The shaft goes through the handle? The Felos have that, a striking cap, and a hex at the end of the handle to put a wrench on it for $25.

Yes, you are exactly correct.

The striking cap on the Felo's looks pretty small in comparison to other Go Through screwdrivers. But for the price it looks like a very nice set.

The “striking cap” is the whole leather top.

And forget about “for the price.” The Felo woodies are tops regardless of price.

If you're going to buy the Proto Durateks, get the set with bolstered blades. They're much stronger than the thinner nonbolstered versions.

I bought a PH #2 from Acme, and so far it's holding up well. I like it.

They should be emphasizing these more, but for whatever reason they're not.

I'm guessing they're going to be targeted more towards industrial users than home center shoppers? Who knows.

I'm not about to buy a new set, but I'm definitely not disappointed by my [limited] experiences with the 1 driver so far.

If most of the striking cap is made out of leather then I question how hard you can hit it and expect it to last.
I don't doubt they are good screw drivers but everything is relative to cost. I get that you really like them. That is fine.
Would you be so enthusiastic if they sold for $100 each.

How hard does one hit screwdrivers?

It likely won’t survive a jackhammer, no. But it will survive reasonable use or even borderline abuse such as use as a pick to remove a thick ice coating inside a deep freezer...

Does anyone even sell a $100 manual screwdriver in standard sizes? In PH2 even the equivalent PB Swiss (8193D.2-100) is around $25.

That notwithstanding, the way I see it there are two independent variables: “quality” and “price.” The point at which they meet is “value.” So “everything” is not relative to cost, only “value” is. So when the top of the market for a given item is around $25, even the highest quality product at $100 is a poor value, assuming the next quality level is a reasonable substitute.

And the PH-3 is $128 & PH-4 is $155 :shocking:

It's not that crazy, it's made out of titanium and marketed towards the medical field. It's needed to work on things like MRI machines, and it probably comes with all kinds of certifications. It's not even the expensive one. They have them in all titanium too, and those go up to $470 for one screwdriver. Of course there are the $1500 water pump pliers if your feeling flush.
