New DIY Show, "Mega Dens"

Just an FYI, there is a new show premiering on the DIY network tomorrow night, Jan. 17 at 10PM Eastern called Mega Dens. It's a man cave/den/rec room type remodel show. Some of the photos I have seen look pretty cool.

My brother-in-law is one of the construction guys, and I think he got a little camera time.

I don't get DIY, so I'll have to try and catch it online, but thought some of you might be interested.

Sounds cool, some of those shows go overboard.

The trailer looked like the same old stuff. They just have the "out with HIS space and share it like everything else" attitude that turned me off from the first viewing of the ad. The "home improvement" shows would be much better if they actually taught some techniques that people will need in the process. Simple stuff like how to stud out a basement wall, use leveling compound on a floor before tiling, or proper methods for supporting things while building or remodeling would be useful for those without the skills. Showing viewers how to do things without an extra set of hands, safe ways for newbies to help or how to use common or new tools would be good, too. Ask This Old House does a better job of those things, but most of the rest are not really informative or motivating.
