So, I have recently joined the forums and have been amazed with the wealth of knowledge that is here. I came across this thread that seems the closest to my setup.

http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36062

My garage dimensions are 22 x 32 x 9'9". Based on what I have read I am thinking that I would go with 9 TC232 fixtures which are 4ft tandem in an 8ft fixture in a 3 x 3 pattern.

My significant other (the wife) is worried that this is too much light. My thought would be to set up 4 fixtures on one switch and 5 fixtures on a separate switch.

I do not do any bodywork in the garage, but I would like to be able to wax a car out of the sun in there.

Thoughts would be appreciated as I am getting all of my help this weekend to install the attic stairs and lights. So, I am going to be pulling the trigger in the next couple of days.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jason

As you get older you will appreciate stronger lights. Better to have more than to wish you had put them in when it was easier.

You can never have too much light. That's what I would do, also.....2 seperate switches for two banks of lights, or maybe three switches with the third switch only turning on one light. That way if you had to get something quick, you wouldn't need to flip on a bunch of lights.

x2 on you can never have too many lights. I put mine all on one switch.
I actually have one of my beer neons and another light on at night (all the time) which is nice cause if I have to go in there to grab something i don't need to flip on the lights.

Thanks for all the input guys/gals. Just looking for some for instances and examples so my wife has something to compare to. I have tried to show her other threads on here, but "it isn't our garage, it could be different" she says.

Calling rocco...any chance you want to whip out that fancy program you have to tell me how my plan is either not going to work right or be okey dokey.

Thanks
Jason
