Has anyone tried to replace their harbor freight chest with better drawer slides.
I'll be purchasing the 56" with a side locker and add on drawer cabinet, and think the HF slides are horrible. I have a 17 year craftsman pro ball bearing grip-latch full of tools and the drawers still slide great. I think the HF chest would be great if I could put better slides on it.

What do you find wrong with the slides?

Putting better slides on them off the bat would be more money and trouble than the box is worth. IMHO. MANY a people use them with no problem. Maybe the floor units at your store have been miss handled. They also tend to glide easier with weight in the drawers.

I did a search & didn't see one of these here but this is my latest tool buy. A Lagasse combination square made in the USA.
