Ordering a new epiq, gonna be sapphire blue , have that color right now with bright trim, considering going with titanium trim and the bedlined top. I want your thoughts to which trim and why. thanks

The romantic hills of central Umbria, Italy,
Opinion? Sure, with the Blue, I'd go with the bright trim, just because I'm a traditionalist. What I would do, tho, is look at the blue with ALL the trims... start removing them as you find you don't like them... and you'll have your answer. If you like the Titanium... go for it!

After all, I won't be the one working out of that box for the next 10 years... so whatever you get, make sure you like it. (Me? I thought I liked the orange - kinda nuts about it - until I spent some time looking at one long and hard, then a friend said "Come check out my yellow box"... and it changed me.

The bright trim and stainless top look very sharp on the one I have now. But seriously considering bed liner top, so I think titanium would look better with the black top. Concerned that the titanium trim is going to make the whole box too dark.

At one time dealers had display boxes showing colors, i'd imagine they'd have the ability to swap trim too. If you're going to spend that much money i'd expect to see at least a minimal example first.

So full disclosure..... I don't dislike blue but if I was ordering a new Epiq, blue would be my last choice.

Now that that's out of the way, I've seen a lot of blue Epiq boxes but your inquiry here sent me googling "blue Epiq". This yields a whole bunch of images in every trim and top combo possible (not surprisingly, a lot from GJ)

After scrolling through I'm thinking you're on the right track with the titanium trim. Not sure if this matters to you but do keep in mind if you have a stainless top now and go to a bedliner top you do lose the ability to use it as a writing surface. Also it looks like there are multiple blue options. Are you going with the Sapphire Blue? Every one of those I saw looks pretty sweet when paired with titanium trim although it definitely makes the box look "darker". I'm a big fan of the black trim on most other colors but on the blue I would order Titanium.

TBH, I may change my mind after seeing your current Sapphire Blue w/ bright trim and stainless top. It is pretty ****.

If going with stainless top, then I'd say bright trim looks better. Stainless top w/Ti trim - the two grey / silvery tones together would be a little off, IMO Black bedliner top would be ok for titanium trim.

I have always thought the stainless top looked the best and is very easy to clean. My original thought on bedliner top was it would be a pain to clean. I still think stainless looks sharp, that being said I am tired of the glare, for some reason it bothers me lately. So its either lay rubber mat on stainless, or go with bedliner and deal with cleaning it. But deciding which top also impacts what trim to go with.

I guess it all depends on how you work. The glare off the stainless is a bit of an issue, but if your like me, you end up with stuff all over the top anyway - parts / tools and all the extraneous **** that collects during work.......everytime I see a bedliner top, I can't help but think that must be a PITA to clean :lol_hitti

Got a buddy with titanium trim on midnight blue master series, looks like titanium should, got a mechanic with titanium on xtreme green epiq and another buddy with it on an orange epiq, on both those epiqs the trim looks brownish, that is my concern.

Very coincidentally, I was on a Rock n Roll truck for the 1st time today. I priced out an 84" with powercab and bedliner top. Full retail was over $16k. They would take $5500 off plus $2000 rebate making it about $8900 with the potential for a $3500 trade. Hard not to pull the trigger on that.

I did take a pic for you lugnut. 84" Saphire Blue with Titanium trim and stainless top. I didn't think the stainless would look good with the titanium but I was wrong. 40c3c7e3b6d98b1aa10f15be475ce59e.jpg4b44e5418df7669013f8c9afcfe043ee.jpg

Ultimately you've got to decide to stay with what you know and have or try something a little different. The pic of your box looks amazing with the bright trim. Today though I discovered just how nice the Sapphire and titanium look together. I will tell you one thing for sure..... whichever trim you get I would go with the stainless top. IMO the bedliner top won't look as good on the blue with either trim.
