hi.

I'm new here, but got a lot of good info here while researching for this project, so I signed up and figured I'd add in my 2 cents.

this is what my garage used to look like.

sorry it's blurry, but you get the idea. 30 years worth oil and stains and such.

I used a degreaser and acid etched the prior weekend and didn't feel like it gave the floor enough "tooth" for the epoxy to stick, so I rented a flooring maching and went over the whole floor 2 times with it. took about 4 hrs total.

I used Epoxy Master flooring. From what I read here and other sites, 100% solids is the way to go. I got 2 kits for my 3 car garage at $274 a pop. plus extra fleck and $90 in shipping.

Way more $ than I planned on spending, but if it holds up over time It's worth it.

Nice job, I did mine over the Memorial day weekend 2012 and it still looks just as good as the day it was finished. I love it and get a lot of "damn I'm jealous" comments.

Wow, those epoxy flooring pictures are looking very nice and attractively, thanks for sharing. Epoxy and concrete floor coating are having lots of demand and it's working also very good.
