new epoxy floor

Just ordered my supplies for doing my garage floor next week. I ordered Amerlock2 with the 400 hardner. I will be doing gray with black marble chips.
I had a new concrete floor installed last summer, during the winter I kept it covered to keep salt off of it. I plan on cleaning degreaser, and acid wash and letting it dry for 3 to 4 days. I will do the moisture test just to see before appling the epoxy. Will let the board know how it goes. Got my finger crossed!

Since my last post, I have de-grease the floor and instead of acid washing I decided to rent a diamabrush from HD. There where too many positive posts on how well it worked not to do it. I have to say it did a very good job. I went over it 4 times in different directions and got down to the sand in slab. I used a hand concrete grinder on edges. I have a 3.5 garage and it took me about 6hours +. I picked up my epoxy yesterday from a commercial Glidden dist. I am using the Amerlock2 with 400 hardner, I will be putting down a 20% reduction for a primer on day 1, the next day will be the epoxy a and b. with a broadcast of color chip black marble and I also am going to add 1 container of color chip pure metal mica. to the mix. 3 to 1.The 3rd day will be the clear coat. it is also a Amerlock product Amershield cure ( aliphatic polyuretane) it is a 4 to 1 mixture. Never did this before but have been reading alot about what to do on this site, it very helpful. I will post how it goes along the way.

Update, pics to follow. Monday. cool no rain or wind, Mixed batch and thinned by 20%. Epoxed 2 inch border and concrete blocks on side of garage, done. Tuesday. Primed floor with 20% thinner. After it was dry it looked very lite, ( i was looking for a darker gray).
Wednesday put epoxy down, I put half the floor at a time (350 sq. ft.) then added chips used 3 1/2 pounds per side. I am glad I bought the silver mica, it looks great when blended to the black marble. I plan on lightly scraping and vacuuming the floor in the morning then appling the final clear coat epoxy. Note the product that I used cured very slow, about 4 to 8 hours. This was good because I could go back and add chips where needed. The temp today was about 78 and low humidity. There is a bird in garage now, dam he is looking to make a mark. should have keep doors closed!

I also am going to use the Amerlock 400 but with their PSX 700A clear top coat. It is supposed to be the choice for top coats. Should have it down by Wednesday
