New epoxy floor

Finished my floor yesterday. 900 ft. 100% epoxy. wolverine brand. It took 6 gals. of mixed epoxy to complete.
Went OK, I mixed up 1.5 gals at a time. It had 30 min pot life. Used a roller. If I had to do it again I would have another person. One to squeegee it out and one to smooth out with roller. I would also get some of the shoe spikes I once saw to walk out on it to fix flaws . Took 3 hrs to start firming up with Slab at 70 degrees. Tack free at 6 hrs. Picture taken at 36hrs.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by Squeegee it out? Did you just pour it on the floor and try to roll it around? What type of Squeegee would you use? I'll be doing my floor here very soon and will post for all of you to see.

I can't find any info on the "wolverine" brand. Where did you get it?

I poured and rolled. It was hard to get even coverage. GOOGLE notched trowles for a supplier. It would seem a lot easer to pull the epoxy at a even rate. You can get different size notches.. You can put 100% very thick. It flows out very well. Best part very little if any fumes.

That's not a bad idea. Get a fine notched trowel and then roll it. You would get good even coverage and it should go down fast. Thanks for the heads up with budget bob.

So you would spread it out with a trowel and then go back over it with a roller? I guess you would need a pair of old golf / spike shoes to do it that way? Otherwise how would you get back on top of it with the roller unless you did small sections at a time.

Yeah that does look hokey for sure, but what a nice thick coat is available. A nice thick coat at 8mils, then chips and 4mm of clear. Thats pretty doggone close to half an inch. That would be nice,

Looks very good! I did mine with two guys, two rollers on extensions and a large flat basin where I poured the epoxy. Took 20 minutes for a 24x24 with two guys. 4 years later it still looks good, albeit a little dirty in spots. I just can't bring myself to mop a garage floor.
