New Fab Table

Hey guys, I just bought this fab table. It is 4'x6' and the top is damn near 1" thick. I got it for a song, so I didn't ask many questions and got it out of there before the guy changed his mind. I need clamps that fit in the round holes. Any idea what kind of clamps this would take? Also, it is a bit too low and it would be nice to move it around the shop on a rare occasion. Any recommendations on casters?

For casters look at:
RWM
Albion
ER Wagner
Shepard
Laird
Colson

as for clamps, Mowhawk Dave nailed it. Or buy and frankenstein some.

That’s not a bad idea for light duty clamping. I assume the round holes and bar stock just get put in a bind and stay put, yeah?

That's the way even heavy duty clamping is done. No threads needed. Clamp slides in hole and will bind when you tighten the F-Clamp.

I use RWM and ERWagner casters...won’t flatspot and very stout...

Great deal on the table. [emoji481]

For that weight steel casters would be a good option.

Yeah, I was thinking steel or cast iron or something of that sort. I would really like to figure out a way to make the casters retractable or something. I like the weight of it sitting on the floor, but it is a little low and I would prefer not to have to always use the forklift if I need to move it. Is there any kind of Jack for lack of a better term that could be used? Basically when the jacks are retracted, it sits on the wheels, but otherwise it sits on its feet to keep it from moving. It looks like your table might have something like what I am referring to.

Maybe I am overthinking this...

Being able to use “jacks” to level it would be really handy, too!

Here’s a close up of the adjustable table levellers.

Where did you get the table levelers? Are they pretty stout? This is literally 1,000 lbs of table.
