Polishing is a multi step process that begins with diamond grinding with metal bonds, densifying, then and ends with resin bonds and high speed buffing. There are a few different levels of polishing. There is the type like you see at Home Depots and Old Navy. They are basically polishing the cream. We call it a level 1 shine. A true high polish shine, our level 4 is done up to 3000 grit and its harder, denser and more translucent than plain concrete. It will take the look of the most expensive marble but much less maintenance. It can be fairly inexpensive with a level 1 but can get pricier with level 4. You can also add a stain, dye and sawcuts to create a unique floor. Pricing also depends on the condition of the slab and the amount of space. The larger and more open space the better price can be given. Alot of edgework may bring the price up.

Hi Mark - damn, all those trips out to Bill in Freeport were killin' me. If only I'd held on for a few years until your shop in LIC was open... Oh well, still a PCA member and will get another in the shed some day for you to wrench. Nice looking facility. Good luck.
