Couple updates for you guys on the Garage Journal.

First one, as many of you remember we offered a free kit to 10 members of the garage journal a few months back. That product, The ROCKSOLID Garage Coat will be on store shelves at a Menards in your area in October for $124.99.

Second thing, Our original ROCKSOLID Pro Series Kits, Previously listed at $249.99 has been reduced to $199.99 at your local Lowes Stores. This is a fantastic price for a floor with a base coat and topcoat for less than $0.80/sf!

Check out the Rocksolid floors website or our facebook page for more information.

Well,$124.99 for a garage coat, doesn't tell me a whole lot. Is this $125 an ounce....a gallon....7000gallons???? And coverage? This amazing announcement doesn't tell me anything!

based on the 200 bucks for less that .80 a square foot, I would guess that the kit covers 250 sq ft.

You can guess all you want, but one would think RockSolid Floors would have been a little more specific. I hope they don't write their own ads!

I've had the Rock Solid floor w/clear and flakes down now since April of this year. It has held up very good in the short period of time, and looks great. I posted several pics back in April of the application. Go to my profile and find the link that I posted the pics and report. (I dont know how to move the link here)
My kits covered 250sf each, and I used four kits.

The floor looks exactly the same as it did when I posted the first pics. Only two marks that are on the floor is where my spun the tires on the truck. It left black marks that have lightened up, but it never scratched the floor.

If you know how to go back and re-post my pictures, go right ahead because I dont know how to.

Guys, The Garage Coat Kit for $124.99 and the Rocksolid Pro Series Kit for $199.99 both cover 250sf. The garage coat is a single coat grey with chip where the pro series is a basecoat and a topcoat with chip. Sorry for the delay in getting the info to you. Let me know if you guys have any more questions.

Not doubting you buddy, but it would be nice for everyone to see how the floor has been holding up as apposed to just hearing about it. Like they say, pictures tell a thousand words.-Take a few pics a post them

If you want specifics go to the web site as well as look at their video.
I understand getting information from owners is good research but just as someone trying to sell you something it can still be biased.
But with that said the pro product looks like a good contender.

How many gallons are included? With that info, we can figure the mil thickness.

Do you have partial kits of some kind. I have a garage that'll end up being 300sf of floor space and I wouldn't want to pay for a whole extra kit just for 50sf.

3-4 mils is really too thin. When we apply LINE-X Aspart-X (100% solids polyaspartic), we put down a total of about 11 mils (not including color chips or other media).

Check out our Pro Series Rocksolid Kits for a professional grade DIY floor. The pro series kits were just reduced at Lowe's to $199 for 250 sf kit. A great deal for a 2 coat polyurea system.

Not a sales pitch buddy, just fact....big difference between a painted on super thin mil coating and a poured and self leveled epoxy system.

If you grind the concrete, 2 to 3 mils is going to sink into the concrete creating a mechanical bond which is what the goal is. So, you need to put down more than 2 to 3 mils or you won't have much left at the surface as a "floor".

two things....cost differences. thegarageguy's blog shows a really nice ferrari sitting on one of his floors not everyone can afford that car or his flooring system (to put it mildly) rock solids offers one of the best "off the shelf" systems for only about .80 a sq ft.... No i don't even have a rock solid floor in my garage but have helped others put them down and seen some abuse they handle.

There is a reason people like cruzin and the garageguy don't post how much there stuff costs. That IS a huge factor when it comes to REAL people deciding on flooring systems. cost vs what they actually get for the $

Here are some pics taken today with my Iphone. The black mark beside the tire is the only spot on the floor

First, love your screen name! Funny that on your first post you decide to bash me and Cousin 90, could it be that you are trying to hide the fact of who you really are? BTW, I post my prices all the time. There is no doubt that my services are more expensive than 80 cents per sqft, but I don't install paint jobs. I can't bash rock solid cause its basically a citadel product and they make some decent stuff. I just want to make people aware that there is a huge difference between a thinner than thin paint job and a poured flooring system with a full broadcast and a polyaspartic top coat. We typically use 200 sqft per gal primer, 200 sqft for base coat, 50lbs of chips per 250 sqft and 100 sqft per gal on the polyaspartic top coat. That is 4 to 5 times the amount of material used on your DIY kits. So If I'm more expensive, there is a reason. People just need to know there is a huge difference between some DIY, specifically a 2 mil system and a pro installed 30 mil system.

BTW Kywildcat, thanks for posting recent pics....besides the tire scuff and bit of discoloration here and there, overall it looks like its holding up well. Congrats.
