New Floor Epoxy Prep

So i bought a new house in october. 3 car garage about 950 square feet.

I have 6 neighbors in the same situation and we are doing a group epoxy treatment/bulk buy.

With new flooring what is the best bang for floor prep Diama brush or Acid etching?

I have the flooring machine already so its just renting the brush if it goes that way.

The way we do it is...

- test concrete hardness
- grind with appropriate blades on HTC floor grinder
- hand grind edges with Metabo grinder
- vacuum with pulse-bac
- blow excess dust out with leaf blower (wait and repeat if necessary)

I've got an idea-- draw straws. the short ones grind / long ones etch -- and see what happens. Since you have 7 opportunities for failure, I'd spend a lot of time sitting down, reading threads on this subject for success stories and failures, and searching. But that's me. This is one of those questions there are probably 50 dedicated threads on. So, read up and you'll do great.

If you have the floor machine, everyone could chip in for (1) floor machine head and (1) hand tool head. You can probably do everyone's project with some to spare.

Diamand grinding is always preferred over acid, but if your floor is not sealed, acid is a perfectly acceptable way to profile the concrete. Let me know if you want pricing for a bulk order of epoxy.
